What does Sunday do?

Essential oils

Two amber bottles with essential oils surrounded by fresh herbs on rustic wood.

You do not have to be an expert to know the kinds of smells that make you smile.  I utilize essential oils to help brighten the mind and hopefully serve a physical benefit.  I personally use one of my oil mixtures for my arthritic hands.  Maybe it could help you a little too.

Memory boxes

Vintage camera, book, magnifying glass, and lantern in a rustic setting.

All my life I’ve been using boxes as a way to literally, and emotionally, compartmentalize this crazy world.  When I’ve come to the end of a phase of life, or when someone I love has passed, I will create a little box filled with things that directly link me to that person or time.  When it’s complete, I can keep it on a shelf, bury it in the back yard, or burn it in a bonfire.  Any of these actions help to process the event and keeps me moving forward.

Stones

A glass prism dispersing light into colorful spectra.

I use rocks as amplifiers and energy directors.  I use my stone necklaces to direct my thoughts and feelings in a way that suits me in the moment, and I use them for others the same way.  I may bring stones with me to a meeting with you to see if you enjoy the feeling of it.  Or I can leave them at home if they don’t make sense to you.

Environmental

Written memories

Cozy floral arrangement with lit candles and rustic decor on a wooden surface.

One of the most important preparations we can make is to ensure our environment is how we like it for when we go.  If you’ll be passing in a hospital, are there things that might be nice to have near you, or not near you as you let go of this world?  Maybe you want to be somewhere else entirely.  Lets make that place as comfortable as possible.

Written memories

A handwritten love letter surrounded by dried rose petals and a dried rose.

“Written” is subjective here.  Sometimes we need to say goodbye through our page on facebook.  I can help with that.  Sometimes we want to write some actual letters and have them delivered when the time is right.  I can help with that too.

Rituals

Written memories

Written memories

People have been doing comforting rituals for thousands of years, especially to process the pain of people passing on.  A ritual can be as simple as reciting a bible verse at sunset, or as silly as doing the hokey pokey under your favorite tree.  If it is a repeatable action that helps you feel lighter, it’s worth doing.  I can help you come up with what feels right.

Dying isn’t as simple as it should be in our complicated world.  A lot of people do a lot of death care in a lot of different ways.  I can help with some of the missing pieces.  If I don’t know it I can find out and we can figure it out together.

A Psychopomp is a guide between this world and the next.  There have been countless psychopomps through out history, most notably Jesus Christ.  I can help you find the right guide for your journey, if you need insight.
